What you need to know before building a course

1. What is a Series

On the timeline, users can be invited to all kinds of courses, which we call series. If you build a series yourself and activate it, users can start learning after one day. In a series you can add videos, share documents, post texts and images, give tips and ask different types of questions to secure the desired knowledge.

A series consists of episodes and for each episode you get a score. After a series has been completed with a pass, you will see a result on your timeline. Here you can see how many points you have achieved, what your score is and you can download a certificate.

2. What is an episode

Each course consists of one or more episodes. The information entered under an episode acts as an invitation to the users. That invitation can be seen on the timeline of those who need to start the course, working on a course, and restart the course. When an episode is completed, the user sees the information of the next episode on the timeline.


 

3. What is a badge

A badge is a small image that represents an episode on the user's timeline as it progresses within the series. The user earns the badge when he has completed the episode with a pass.

4. What are pages

You start a series with an empty episode and a page bar. All items under a page can also be seen on one page in the app. The user can then click through to the next one at the bottom of the page. You can add as many items to a page as you want, but to build the course's user-friendliness we recommend that you do not place more than 4 items per page.

5. What are items

Under the content tab you will see several bars. Each bar represents an item. When you press + item, you add an item. The first thing you see is an area where you select the item type.

 

6. What is the minimum time

Each item has a minimum time associated with it. This has to do with the progress calculation within a series. To perform this calculation properly, the minimum time per item must be set to 00.00.01. The time of entered videos is automatically adjusted according to the duration of the video.
